Logitech G703 vs G Pro Wireless Mouse | Isn’t the G Pro Mouse a Better Alternative?

January 23, 2022 by Jim Eddy

If we are pulling a rabbit out of the hat between G703 vs G Pro Wireless, then we are going to say that the G Pro Wireless is the better mouse. But if you are a regular user with large palms then, the G703 would be a great mouse to use.

G703 vs G Pro Wireless

Logitech G703 vs G Pro Wireless – Differences Between Them

Let’s take a quick comparison between the two mice & see how they stack up against each other.

Design

Design-wise they both have the classic Logitech design to them. The G703 is a very tough mouse, especially for gamers who put pressure on their mice. But unfortunately, if you are a left-handed user, the G703 will not suit you.

On the other hand, The G Pro Wireless is ambidextrous & is suitable for all types of grips. Both mice have sturdy rattle-free buttons that give perfect clicks. They work perfectly on a smooth mouse pad.

RGB

The G703 has a “G” logo on the top arch & an RGB strip inside the scroll wheel. You can customize it using software giving different effects. The G Pro Wireless has the same specs in terms of RGB.

Weight & Dimension

The Logitech G703 has an overall weight of 107 grams. That’s quite heavy for a regular mouse. They fit perfectly around your hand & can accommodate any grips. But as a Claw grip gamer, you may not find it perfect. If you are a regular user then it’s okay.

The G Pro weighs around 80 grams, which is an ideal weight for a mouse for every activity. The plastic body mixed with silicon rubber grips just goes to show you how much effort Logitech has put into the mouse. It is a fairly small design so be careful if you have huge palms.

Buttons

The Logitech G703 has 5 buttons with 2 side buttons, one scroll wheel, a dpi button & a power switch underneath. The G Pro Wireless has 4 buttons, but they all can be programmable according to your preference. There is also the profile switching option & CPI altering button.

Sensor

Logitech is a leading manufacturer when it comes to technology. Both mice have the best possible sensors equipped in them. The Logitech G703 has an Optical sensor called PMW3366. It is one of the best optical sensors in the world right now.

If we see the G Pro, it has an advanced optical sensor called the Hero 25k. They both are superb in terms of performance. But from the experience of thousands of Gamers & users, they say the G Pro delivers better in terms of performance & accuracy.

Battery Life

Both the G703 vs G Pro are Lightspeed wireless mice from Logitech. But you will enjoy a long battery life for both of them. The G703 will last around 32 hours with the RGB off & 24 hours with it on.

On the contrary, the G Pro wireless offers a greater lifetime than its brother. It gives 40 hours of battery life with the RGB on & a staggering 50+ hours with the RGB off. No question who wins in this category.

Powerplay Charging

Recharging a wireless mouse can be a pain. You are playing a game & you see the charge is gone. That’s really frustrating. What if we told you that Logitech has made your dream a reality with wireless charging through the Powerplay Mouse pad.

The G703 vs G Pro Wireless both have integrated LIGHTSPEED wireless receivers. The Powerplay energy field is transformed into a charging current by the power core module, which goes through the receiver to always keep your mouse running.

A Gamer’s Opinion: Which is Better?

As a gamer, you need to pinpoint accuracy from your mouse. If you play a lot of First Person Shooter (FPS) games then your mouse is your friend. You need to be perfectly comfortable with it.

If you are a serious gamer, even if you are going Pro at such games, then the G Pro Wireless is better for you. Logitech has designed the mice to meet the needs of modern-day pro gamers. It’s lighter which is a plus point for a gamer & has a great sensor that delivers when it matters.

Conclusion

Both of these gaming mice are phenomenal. The G Pro wireless comes out on top considering the design & performance. But the G703 is still a great mouse option considering the lower price point and great usability for day-to-day & large palm users.
