[Solved] 2 Beeps on Startup No Display (100% Working)

February 15, 2022 by Jim Eddy

Your PC may be subject to many issues and showing no display is one of them. When you push on the power button, BIOS (Basic Input Output System) starts to work with a function called POST. It checks all the hardware’s integrity. If any error occurs, you can fix it from the BIOS window. However, sometimes there is no display and you will hear a beep sound; there can be 1 beep or 2 beeps or more beeps which are used by the system to indicate the type of error. In today’s post, you will learn what 2 beeps on startup mean when there is no display and how you can fix this problem.

2 Beeps on Startup No Display How to Fix It

How to Fix – ‘2 Beeps on Startup No Display’ Issue

When BIOS finds any kind of hardware issue, it cannot hand over authority to Operating System; hence creating a beep sound warns the user about the issue as there is no display to show in text form. No display suggests that the problem might be in the graphics section. Besides, RAM and power issues can also be responsible for not showing the display.

Change Your Graphics Card

Having a bad graphics card may be the source of the problem. Unofficial graphics card sometimes does not go well with the motherboard. The display cannot form because of a poor GPU and you need to replace it. Make sure that you buy an authorized GPU that has got enough resources to sync well with your system and your activities as well.

Replace 2 RAM Sticks with 1 RAM Stick

You may have mounted 2 x 8GB RAM sticks to get the advantages of dual-channel technology i.e. increased speed and efficiency. However, using 2 RAM sticks instead of one can cause trouble especially if two sticks do not match with each other. Hence, move out one RAM stick and use one and see if the issue is fixed. Moreover, always buy original RAM sticks from the website of your motherboard manufacturer.

Get a New PSU

No display with 2 beeps may also occur because of a poor PSU (Power Supply Unit) that is unable to supply the amount of power GPU needs. For a modern-day graphics card, you would need a PSU having a capacity of at least 750W. Also, make sure that your videos card is well plugged into PSU and there is no connection error.

Conclusion

It is always wiser to test your system beforehand with all the equipment installed when you build a PC. Poor quality in graphics card, RAM, or PSU will create issues. Buy all the necessary devices that are authentic and original. Hopefully, you have got the fix for no display with 2 beeps errors.
