The GTX 1080Ti will blast beyond the majority of the demanding games in recent times while beating their recommended settings in 4k screen resolution. For AAA rates games like Witcher 3, GTA V, RDR2, you will get more than 65 fps in 4k ultra settings. Certainly, there is more to reveal about the 1080Ti SLI 4K benchmarks. Just stick to the post till the end.
GTX 1080Ti SLI 4K Resolution Benchmarks – Efficiency
Nvidia’s GTX 1080Ti was one of the most significant releases for gamers in 2017. As gamers always prioritize powerful graphics cards for 4k gaming, 1080Ti SLI is an interesting prospect to try out. With two of these beasts running in SLI, the performance boost for certain games will be unlike anything.
In general, SLI nets more than a 20-30% performance boost in games if you have configured your setup properly. A gamer would pick only GTX 1080TI SLI for 4k resolution as it would be an overkill for any resolution below that.
4K Resolution Benchmarks for PC Games: GTX 1080Ti SLI
Most of the popular PC games are SLI compatible. However, some of the games will crash upon enabling SLI. The games that are not SLI compatible will only require a manual driver fix to get them working.
In the case of many games, you will have to wait for driver updates to add SLI profiles. Some just won’t support it. But statistically speaking, 3 out of 4 games will support SLI, even if your drivers do not have SLI profiles. The solution to this issue is to use Nvidia Inspect to configure SLI in more games.
Below are the benchmarks of the 1080Ti SLI for some of the popular games over the years. The benchmarking system was conducted in Ultra settings, with all games running at a native 4k resolution.
1. Witcher 3
As the game of the year in 2015, the Witcher 3 is quite demanding when it comes to configurations. The 1080Ti SLI still blasts its way through in 4k ultra settings, producing an average frame rate of 85.3.
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
Arguably the best game ever produced, Red Dead Redemption 2” is a joy to play in ultra settings. The 1080Ti SLI takes the adventures in this game up a notch with an astounding average of 57.6 fps in 4k ultra.
3. Watch Dogs 2
This is another game that SLI really makes sense for. The 4k results in this game for a single 1080Ti are below 60 fps. However, with the 1080Ti SLI mounted, the frame rate rises to 68.1, giving more meaning to the game.
4. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey
The 1080Ti SLI does a really good job of increasing the performance of this game. In 4k “ultra” or “max” settings, the gamer gets around an average of 68.4 fps which is quite remarkable.
5. GTA V
The deep and adventurous world setting of GTA V is never old for gamers. In 4k max settings, you will get an average of 71 fps with the 1080Ti SLI. The monstrous SLI setup of 1080Ti cards is just what you would need to get a noticeable performance boost in GTA V.
GTX 1080Ti SLI: CPU Bottleneck
A factor to consider before using the 1080Ti SLI is the core clock of the CPU you will be using. Even if your CPU is overclocked, but does not run above 4.3 GHz, then it won’t be able to keep up with the frames that the 1080Ti SLI will be delivering. Fortunately, CPU technology has advanced drastically in the last few years and you can get more powerful CPUs for a reasonable price.
As can be seen according to the 1080Ti sli 4K benchmarks, even in 2021, the 1080Ti SLI is still a strong card. It will continue to be a beast SLI graphics card for at least three years when it comes to modern games. Even the upcoming GTA VI is predicted to run at 60+ fps in 4k with the 1080Ti SLI. Therefore, there is no need to upgrade your 1080Ti SLI anytime soon.
